This past weekend marked our annual Nu Alpha Phi vs. Pi Delta Psi fraternity football game.
Three years ago, our Theta Chapter (Stevens Institute of Technology) and the Lambda Chapter (Rutgers University) of Pi Delta Psi initiated a football game that would soon become an intense rivalry. Year after year, the two schools have met on the battlefield. Pitting man vs. man on the gridiron, a war for every inch of turf was waged. Each team always aiming for glorious victory.
This year was no different.
Compared to last year's monsoon-like rain conditions, this weekend was much more conducive for football rampage.
Standing as our captain and QB - Alex Lum aka Hyperion.
Protected by his monstrous line - Neil Gallares (Thor), Samuel Ok (Olympus) and Joseph Lopez (Vulcan), Alex was able to gun his way down the field. Through Gene Kang's (Vendetta) superb athleticism, Dan Taylor's (Odin) brutish might, Mike Walker (Helios) and JR Hautea's (Dynasty) quickness, we were able to leave our mark on the field and on the scoreboard. On the defensive end, Robert Quinn (Phalanx) and Brandon Ma (Grind) fought ferociously to defend our goal line.
Some pictures of the action:
The game was tough. It was brutal. But at the end of the day, both sides shook hands as an acknowledgement of respect for a game well played.
Good game fellas. We look forward to next year.
