The Category 1 post- tropical cyclone Hurricane Sandy struck nearly two months ago, leaving catastrophic damage across the New York metropolitan area. Despite the amount of time that has passed since then, there is still a substantial amount of volunteer support needed everywhere.
Realizing this, the brothers of Beta chapter took it upon themselves to remedy some houses and families in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn on December 22nd. While some brothers were organizing and distributing relief kits, others were getting down and dirty; clearing debris out of formerly flooded basements.
After making it through the stress of finals week, this was a great way for brothers to humble themselves through hard work and giving back around the holidays time. On top of feeling good about themselves, the brothers of Beta chapter also learned that it is never too late to help/ render those in need.
