This past Sunday, the brothers of Nu Alpha Phi's Eta Chapter at Syracuse University gave back to the community. It was a fun way to reconnect with brothers and a pleasant change of pace after a hectic week of midterms. The brothers first stopped by Saint Anthony's, a local Catholic church, to make sandwiches for the homeless and hungry.
Afterwards, we walked to Hendricks Chapel on the Quad, to participate in the Stop for Hunger Crop Walk. The Crop Walk is an annual event organized by Syracuse University to stop hunger. We walked 1 mile from the chapel to Downtown Syracuse.
As brothers of Nu Alpha Phi, we strongly believe in the value of service as one of the seven principles that we uphold in our fraternity. We are extremely grateful that Syracuse University provides us with numerous opportunities to be able to give back to the local community. Staying involved in our community here in Syracuse is something we strive to do and spending a Sunday serving our community is just part of the routine we have as Greek leaders on campus.
