Ub Gettin' Dirty and Memorial Walk

UB Getting’ Dirty is an annual event held by The University
at Buffalo Student Associations to promote a greener world by providing clean
up for the nearby community. With garbage bags in our latex-covered hands, the
Brothers of Nu Alpha Phi’s Delta Chapter headed out into the streets. It was a beautiful
day and cleaning was great bonding time for all participating organizations.

We may not necessarily change the world in one day’s worth
of work, but we will be participating again next year. The environment is
serious business and until littering becomes a thing of the past, the Brothers
of Nu Alpha Phi will supply service to this much needed problem.

Earlier this month, we also showed our support in the 3rd
annual Matthew Scarpati Memorial walk. Matthew Scarpati was killed in a car
accident by a drunk driver. This walk is in his name-sake to support drunk driving
awareness. The one mile walk is the least we can do.

The public perception of fraternities may be contrary to
this. It is assumed that drinking and parties are all greek life is about. It
is not. If you are reading this, please don’t let your loved ones drink and
drive.
