Epsilon Chapter Takes Part at the 2011 Annual Freedom Walk

Human trafficking is a prominent and rapidly growi ng issue both nationally and abroad. Often times, people in America hear about human trafficking and are unaware that the issue exists in their own country but believe that it only happens in other countries. The New York City Freedom Walk was organized to help promote human trafficking awareness as well as help raise funds to support its cause.

The walk had started at Foley Square in Lower Manhattan and took place over the Brooklyn Bridge. The brothers of Nu Alpha Phi at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU helped participate in the cause by helping setup venue, assisting walkers with the registration process, and enjoying a nice walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was great time of fun and socializing with other organizations who took part at the event as well, especially Kappa Phi Lambda sorority of Columbia University and Baruch College.
